An Introduction

The obvious place to start this first blog is with a bit of introduction. I have been modelling for as long as I can remember and have worked in many scales, gauges across various prototypes.

I currently have a home based layout called Balbeggie Sidings. It is located in the coal producing area of Fife, on the ECML and is set in the 1980's.

47 614 works an Aberdeen to Edinburgh Service and passes a northbound HST service.

Balbeggie Sidings can be found on RM Web - here
And on BR Blue - here

Another current project is a small diorama, based on a Great North of Scotland Railway branch line. This is modelled in P4 and is set in the 1960's. Called Claterinbrigg it is currently being given a couple of fiddle yards in preparation for Attending the Aberdeen MRC exhibition.

Sulzer type 2 D5095 works an eastbound freight through the sleepy station of Claterinbrigg

Claterinbrigg can be seen on RM Web - here
And on FRED - here

The reason I have called this blog an adventure is because unlike some who seem to be very fixed on what they model, I have never been so fortunate. I have an attic with bits and pieces from various projects. So where I go next, and what will be produced may well end up being a bit of an adventure.

So here goes!
